Rébellion serpentine
La rébellion serpentine est, dans le corpus Wheel of Heaven, le grand schisme interne à la civilisation élohimique au moment des origines humaines — une faction technique dissidente s'opposant à la politique majoritaire à l'égard des prototypes adamites.
The Serpentine Rebellion is the earlier framing for the faction of exiled creator-scientists, led by Lucifer, who defied Yahweh and the Elohim government on Earth. The rebellion's armed culmination — the war declared by the Elohim government against the Serpent — is now treated under Theomachy, and the full sequence of events (from Lucifer's defiance through the Tower of Babel to Sodom and Gomorrah) lives there.
The two terms remain useful in different registers: "Serpentine Rebellion" emphasizes the faction and its acts of defiance, while "Theomachy" emphasizes the cosmic war that those acts provoked.
