Privacy Policy

Wheel of Heaven is a static site. There is no backend, no database, no account system, no comment section hosted on this domain, and no analytics. The project's privacy posture is the absence of mechanisms rather than the management of them: there is almost nothing for a privacy policy to say, which is the point of this page.

What the project does not collect

The site does not collect:

• Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other personal identifier
• User accounts, login credentials, or session data
• Form submissions of any kind (no forms exist on this domain)
• Comments, posts, or user-generated content on this domain
• Analytics or tracking data — no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Matomo, no first-party telemetry
• Cookies for advertising, marketing, or cross-site tracking
• IP addresses or location data on the project's side

This is not a promise the project made and then implements with care. It is a property of how the site is built: there is no server-side code to do any of these things.

What the project does store

The project stores a handful of small preferences in your browser's local storage — theme, language, disclaimer acknowledgement. These never leave your device. See the Cookie Policy for the full list.

What third parties may collect

A few unavoidable third parties may see ordinary HTTP-level information when you visit the site:

• The hosting provider maintains standard server logs (IP, user agent, requested path) for service operation. The project does not access these logs for analytics or profiling.
• External links — when you click out to GitHub, Wikipedia, or any other linked site, that site's policy governs what it collects. The project does not control or share data with linked sites.
• External assets — fonts, where used, are self-hosted; the project does not load fonts, scripts, or stylesheets from third-party CDNs that could track you.

If at any point this changes — for example, if the project adds opt-in analytics — this page will be updated and the change will be flagged in the release notes.

Your rights

Under the EU GDPR, Swiss FADP, UK GDPR, California CCPA, and other privacy regimes, you have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data a service holds about you. Since the project holds no personal data about you, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete. If you believe the project is mistakenly holding data about you, please reach out — the most likely explanation is a misunderstanding, and the project would like to resolve it directly.

Children

The site is open to all readers, including minors, but is written for an adult audience interested in religious-historical material. The project does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including minors.

Changes to this policy

If the project ever changes how it handles data — for example, by adding opt-in analytics, comments, or any backend feature — this page will be updated and the change will be flagged in the release notes. The CC0 license on the corpus applies to this policy: you may copy, adapt, and reuse it freely.
