Wheel of Heaven Translation
Proverbs 8 and 10: Wisdom beside YHWH at the founding of the world, and the first proverbs of Solomon
Direct
Established or uncontested across mainstream sources, or a direct description of the project itself.
The MethodProverbs (Hebrew Mishlei) gathers the wisdom teaching attributed to Solomon. This translation covers the two chapters that the Raëlian canon cites:
- Proverbs 8: Wisdom calls in the streets, and tells how she was beside YHWH before the earth was made
- Proverbs 10: the proverbs of Solomon begin: the righteous and the wicked
At 8:30 ʾāmôn is either "craftsman" or "nursling". The line follows the ASV; the note gives both, and records that the canon's French and English versions differ on it. Verses with a note end in a bracketed marker [ ]; select it to open the note.

Editorial history
Review record. All two chapter files carry status: stable (v1.0.0) with a named human reviewer (zarazinsfuss), signed off on 2026-11-01 in the Writings wave (W1) of the canon-cited program. The editor report, the reviewer reports in the chapter files and the sign-off package (data-library/psalms-woh/wave-w1-signoff-package.md) record every decision.
Selection. Part of the program to translate, as whole chapters, every biblical chapter that the three Raëlian canon books (The Book Which Tells the Truth, Extra-Terrestrials Took Me to Their Planet, Let's Welcome the Extra-Terrestrials) cite. With this release the program is complete: 87 chapters.
Conventions. Proper names are in their English forms. Šāmayim is "skies" or "heaven(s)" by register, šəḥāqîm "clouds", ḥesed "kindness", and bənê hāʾādām "the sons of the human". Psalm verse numbers follow the Hebrew, where the heading is verse 1. The canon's readings appear only in notes headed "Wheel of Heaven reading (reception note, not a translation claim)".
Production. Drafted by Claude Opus 5.5 and taken through the Wheel of Heaven Translation Program pipeline (Translator → Editor → Reviewer → human sign-off). Central glossary 2.84.0–2.90.0; proverbs-woh overlay v1.0.0. Reference translation: ASV (1901). Methodology: Source-Text Translation.
ḥokmâ 'wisdom' and tĕbûnâ 'understanding' are personified with feminine verbs and pronouns ('her voice'). The line prints lower-case 'wisdom', as the ASV does, and lets the pronoun carry the personification; a capital would turn the figure into a name, which the Hebrew, having no capitals, does not mark (
chokhmah-personified-wisdom-proverbs). Proverbs is new in the corpus; the Writings conventions apply (poetic-lineation-and-speech-convention-writings).
