Wheel of Heaven とは何か

Wheel of Heaven は、ある古い物語を腰を据えて読み直す試みです。すなわち、 人類はどこから来たのか、誰が人類を造ったのか、そしてその理由は何なのか について、多くの伝統に属する古代の諸文献が語ってきた物語のことです。 読解の主たる解釈の枠組みとして用いるのは ラエリアンの原典資料 であり、創世記の エロヒム は神格ではなく一つの「チーム」 ——生命を設計し、恒星間の距離を越えて活動する能力を備えた、小規模で 高度に進んだ 人類 の文明——であった、とする見方を採ります。この レンズの周りに、本プロジェクトは聖書、メソポタミア、ヴェーダ、メソ アメリカをはじめとする諸資料を集め、それらを束ねるに足る唯一の時計、 すなわち 歳差運動——夜空を 時代 の暦に変える、地軸の二万六千年にわたるゆるやかな揺らぎ——の上に 配置します。

本サイトの読み方

本サイトは比較資料を、中立の裁定者としてではなく、ラエリアンの枠組み を通して 読みます。その枠組みの内部では、カノンに関する主張は直接的に 述べられます。諸伝統を横断する比較的な主張については慎重な留保が 保たれます——モルモン教、バハイ教、カオダイ教などは、対話のうちに 読まれるのであって、「同じ物語」として平板化されることはありません。 科学的・歴史的な主張も控えめに扱われます。批判的な資料は、その固有の 声のままで提示されます。
